Artist profiles - Ian Daisley

Ian had a keen interest in photography from a very young age, inspired by his father's own enthusiasm. Weekends spent in a darkroom processing black & white prints continued for many years before he embarked on a varied & highly successful career in data communications.

At the age of 46, he made the change to full-time photographer and for the last 5 years has established an excellent reputation with both customers and peers alike.

He concentrates on capturing landscape and natural history images of Derbyshire and the Peak District, endeavouring to show the special qualities of our local environment in a way that viewers can relate to and also relive in their own memories.

Like many photographers he has a number of strings to his bow and runs a busy photography studio in the small but vibrant village of Bonsall, on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Ian uses his studio for all types of work, including family portraits, commercial products, private tuition and creating beautiful images of cherished and custom motorcycles.
